As a contributing Firo community developer, I built and continue to maintain the Firo RPC/TypeScript SDK (including ongoing security patches). I’m writing to request continued community funding for the Firo Block Explorer, which is built on that library and has been up daily since inception, with only brief, infrequent downtime.
My current dedicated server reservation expires in one month, and I’m consolidating onto a new, more capable server. Ongoing costs for the explorer include dedicated hosting, MongoDB Atlas (managed database with automated backups), and AWS S3 storage for the geolocation data used in masternode mapping.
I’m requesting 333 FIRO (~$200) to help cover hosting, database, storage, and ongoing code maintenance/security patching for a year.
Optionally, I can also run a public Firo ElectrumX server on the same infrastructure at no additional cost to the community — useful for wallet/light-client developers in the ecosystem. Happy to include or drop this depending on community interest.
Awesome, thank you! Also was wondering, I have a Wizard Swap api key I was using for the swap, but no one is using it so I removed it, which is no problem especially with the Rosen Bridge, but if anyone has any opinion on keeping it because it looks cool, or just scrap it let me know. Also, I don’t mind adding a Rosen Bridge widget if there is one for Firo to it, could be cool. Last thing , open to translations, I know there’s no way mine can be that great ha.
Oh and the electrumx node has been running for a while at electrumx.firoblocks.app , but not sure if maybe someone from the team should check it out before making that public.
