Setting Up Electron Wallet. Help Please

In order to receive funds and be able to send out with privacy feature, do I need to select any of these in the settings section:

‘Connect to other Nodes via Tor’
‘Allow Coin control to break Masternodes’

Also, does the privacy feature work with any transaction, or just from the wallet?
Does it need to be from the wallet to another wallet, or just to and exchange?

Nope you don’t have to but of course connecting via Tor gives you better network privacy.

If you use from the wallet, the privacy features work. You can also send anonymized transactions to the exchange but exchanges will not send private tx . However the moment you receive it, you can anonymize it again.
