With the strong FIRO’s price drop in recent days ($0.40/FIRO), I’m keeping a close eye on my masternodes hosting prices at NodeHub.io. At $0.13/day ($3.90/month), the price was already much cheaper than other hosting providers (AllNodes, my previous host and the long-standing host for many of us).
But, to address the sharp drop in FIRO’s price and maintain some profitability for FIRO masternodes, NodeHub.io has just cut this price by more than half, dropping it to $0.063/day ($1.89/month)! That’s cheaper than a VPS!
I don’t work for NodeHub.io, I’m not paid by them; my only wish is to share the information in the hope that it’s useful to you. If you wish, you can use the links in this post, which are affiliate links: thank you to those who do so (and will make at least a $10 first deposit).
Update december 2, 2025 : NodeHub.io is offering a double deal during all of December (received by email):
“We’re excited to offer free masternode hosting until the end of December!
Deploy or migrate as many masternodes or validators you’d like and they’ll be completely free of charge until the month ends.
To get the most out of this offer, deploy your nodes today. If you’re planning on migrating, you can get an additional 1 month free hosting on top of this offer.
If you need to deploy or migrate multiple nodes, you can contact our support team for help with migration. We can help you deploy your nodes with our automated bulk deployment system so you don’t have to!”
Personally, I’m still with them and everything is fine, very fine indeed.
It’s really difficult to predict what Firo will do with the Binance delisting and the current economic news…
Personally, without wanting to be overly ambitious, I hope Firo does much better than holding at $0.30 after the 16th: I hope it goes much higher. When I look at Firo’s price curve since its first day, I get depressed…
UPDATE :
The FIRO masternode hosting promotion on the NodeHub.io website has ended: it has not been replaced by the old rate ($3.90/month), but by a new very attractive rate of $2.49/month.
And, unlike the previous promotion, this rate is not exclusively reserved for new masternodes, but available for all masternodes, including those already hosted :-).
This is a very welcome saving for all of us in these difficult times for the FIRO price !
Yes, communication with Tolgahan (NodeHub.io admin) is very positive and effective.
Following one of my messages, he shared some very encouraging news for us.
I quote him: “we’ve found the root cause of pose ban issues with FIRO and already rolled out a fix for it. Now they won’t ban again.”
The quality of Firo masternode hosting should therefore be even better.
I think it’s time to leave allnodes then. What happens when my year plan ends? are my coins free to switch to other host? or do I have to do some kind of unlock/release of coins? To initiate the host I had to authorize some transactions with my ledger. Is it a similar procedure?
You either migrate masternodes to Nodehub by BLS key (without loosing uptime) or you can create new masternodes there.
If you want to use Firo from masternodes, in Firo QT wallet you just click right button and unlock (it is instant) masternode/s which you want to transfer:
Sorry, I was off the internet for several days.
Thanks to @nrsimha for responding.
Personally, I transferred my masternodes from AllNodes to NodeHub without any loss: yes you need the BLS keys and AllNodes took quite a few days to communicate them to me (I hope it’s faster now). With these BLS keys, the masternode transfer procedure is simple from the NodeHub website.
For those who want to create one or more new masternodes, or who wish to migrate one or more, NodeHub.io offers a deal for december that seems very interesting (free until end of the year): I made an “update” in my first post :-).
I’ve been using nodehub for some months now. It was really easy to migrate from allnodes, you just ask for allnodes team the BLS keys and they very quickly answer and you put it on nodehub host configuration, really simple.
