masterNode data

How can I find out how much data (on average) a Masternode will receive / send for X amount of time? e.g. daily, weekly, or even monthly?

Other than through the VPS control panel, you can monitor it through iftop. This requires (1) running it as root, (2) running it all the time, however, and the stats will be wiped after a restart or if iftop was terminated.

There might be other solutions out there that I am not aware of.

Hey, thanks so much for the response. I was actually looking to see if there were any average numbers out there, any idea of an average traffic sent/received nodes would expect to see on a daily or weekly, or monthly basis. What is a ball park figure or range of the expected traffic (e.g. can you expect a few mb’s per day, or per week, or per month etc.)?

Thank you kindly

Hey,
One block is about 0.2 MB.
There is 12 block an hour, 12x24=288 blocks per day.
The trafic (in) will be at least 288x0.2=57,6 MB a day.
The trafic (out) is difficult to estimate because the peer to peer protocol.
I can’t answer with more precision because I closed my VPS for a Masternode full hosting solution.

Here for an easy to digest:

Here for a more technical one:

Note the primary reason for Eth rejecting ProgPOW is their move to PoS.
