I am pleased to share an overview of the work carried out by the Firo Syria community during the past 11 months. Our primary goal has been to increase awareness of Firo, encourage real-world adoption, and build a sustainable local community in Syria.
Opening the Firo Office in Syria
We established a dedicated Firo community office in Syria that serves as a place where people can learn about Firo, receive technical assistance, set up their wallets, and ask questions about using both Firo and Stack Wallet.
Community Education
Education has been one of our main priorities.
During the past 11 months:
We organized more than 75 public educational sessions introducing Firo and Stack Wallet.
Every public session was announced and documented on X.
In addition, the office regularly welcomes individual visitors, resulting in many private educational meetings and one-on-one onboarding sessions that were not publicly announced.
These activities have introduced many new users to the Firo ecosystem.
Merchant Adoption
Another important objective has been expanding the local merchant network.
We have visited businesses, explained the advantages of accepting Firo, and helped them integrate cryptocurrency payments.
Today, merchants accepting Firo include:
A solar energy company.
A pharmacy.
A grocery store.
A supermarket.
A local internet service provider.
A clothing store.
And several other local businesses.
This represents meaningful progress toward real-world adoption of Firo in everyday commerce.
Humanitarian Initiatives
Our activities extend beyond cryptocurrency education. With the support of the Firo community and Stack Wallet, we have also organized several humanitarian initiatives for families in need.
Food Distribution
Distributed 35 food baskets sponsored by the Firo community and Stack Wallet.
Winter Firewood Campaign
Supplied firewood to 15 vulnerable families during the winter season.
Solar Lighting Distribution
Distributed solar-powered lamps to families experiencing limited access to electricity.
Ongoing Donations Through a Masternode
One of the most inspiring developments has been the continued support from a community member who donates the rewards generated by one Firo Masternode.
Through these ongoing donations:
Three additional food baskets have already been distributed.
Donations continue to this day, allowing us to maintain humanitarian support for families in need.
This initiative demonstrates how Masternode rewards can create a lasting positive impact within local communities.
Looking Ahead
In less than one year, we have successfully:
Opened a dedicated Firo community office in Syria.
Organized more than 75 public educational sessions, along with many private onboarding meetings.
Expanded the network of merchants accepting Firo.
Delivered multiple humanitarian initiatives with support from the Firo community and Stack Wallet.
Established an ongoing charitable donation model funded through Masternode rewards.
Our next goal is to continue growing the local community, onboard more merchants, educate new users, and further strengthen the real-world adoption of Firo across Syria.
