Update on Core Team Assistance October 2024
As this proposal comes from the Core team, a higher vote threshold is required which is 5 members out of 7 instead of the usual majority of votes.
5 out of the 7 CFC members have weighed in and expressed their approval in support of advancing the proposal, while the remaining 2 member has not voted yet.
Given that the required higher threshold for this proposal has been met and 5 out of the 7 members have voted Aye for this proposal, It has Passed

The TL:DR is that at these prices, core team is still not breaking even from the block reward and while we have received donations from Power Up Privacy, we want to reduce the bleed. We are requesting less than the deficit.

So just to let you know, I’m not sure if Diego is conflicted but I’ll let the CFC decide on this.
The shortfall isn’t really specifically for Cypherstack activities, it’s just a shortfall.
We’ve also reduced our Cypherstack engagements quite a bit and the only things we are paying for are:
a) Server costs
b) A retainer to maintain Campfire (1000 USD/month)
Personally I don’t think there’s a significant COI there that would prevent him from voting but just thought I’ll put it out there.
