# Syncing the blockchain only

I just want a copy of the blockchain (initial block dowload).  
Is running `firod -daemon` enough?

I want to do an initial block download on a headless server without creating a wallet.

You can start firod with the flag `-disablewallet`. This will prevent wallet creation.
