Meetup Recap in Benin

On Saturday, June 13th, 2026, Stack Wallet, in partnership with FIRO, successfully hosted another community meetup dedicated to advancing privacy-focused cryptocurrency education and adoption.

The event brought together a diverse and highly engaged audience, including investors, entrepreneurs, Web3 builders, students, and curious individuals interested in learning more about digital privacy and financial freedom.

Throughout the session, participants actively contributed to the discussion and raised important questions about the FIRO ecosystem, including:

  • How FIRO maintains and supports its growing African community.
  • The initiatives FIRO is implementing to accelerate adoption across the continent.
  • Marketing and community engagement strategies designed to create long-term value and trust.
  • What community members can expect from FIRO in the coming months.

To complement the educational discussions, attendees installed and tested FIRO wallets through Stack Wallet, gaining practical experience with privacy-focused digital transactions.

Participants also received FIRO-branded merchandise, including T-shirts featuring the “Citizen Not Suspect” campaign slogan and branded notebooks, helping spread awareness of FIRO’s mission beyond the event itself.

This meetup was made possible through the volunteer efforts and dedication of the FIRO African community, whose ongoing commitment continues to drive education, awareness, and adoption across Africa.

The feedback was generally positive in that participants were happy with the technologies integrated into FIRO and delighted to be able to send money via Spark Name.

@Boanerges I’m curious what the people who usually attend these talks and events are seeking. What is attracting them to cryptocurrency or wanting to know more? Just general knowledge? Or do they hope to make money? Or they like the vibe, and merch? Obviously people come to talks for many reasons but you generally get an idea so was interested on your take on it and usually what kind of follow-ups come from these events.

Let’s remember that what generally attracts people is the knowledge and technology behind what we offer. In addition to all that, it’s up to us to show participants that they can also make money, propose practical solutions to Firo, and much more.
