HTX to Delist FIRO on September 19, 2025

Yeah so first of all this is not the first time HTX has ‘delisted’ FIRO. Previously we were delisted in September 2022 due to pressure from Korean regulators. They have deleted that announcement but you can find evidence of it here.
In December 2022, they relisted us stealthily but told us not to announce the relisting. But FIRO was still unavailable in certain markets and could only be seen if you logged in and they saw that you were from a non-banned country.
Gate.io has a similar situation where they have not delisted us but they have hidden it from search unless you go directly to the page. https://www.gate.com/trade/FIRO_USDT
The latest delisting announcement states incorrectly “due to insufficient trading volume. The 30-day average daily trading volume for all related trading pairs was below $50,000 (or equivalent).” You can take a look at our volumes on Coingecko on HTX’s markets and we have been over that limit. We sought clarification from HTX and they confirmed that it was due to ‘compliance’ issues and a decision from their management.
You can see a couple of other projects there that are also ‘privacy’ focused that were also delisted but it’s unclear why Monero still exists though if i had to guess, it’ll be next on the chopping block as well. You can also take a look at Ergo’s response here who paid a huge amount of money to be listed.
Since HTX was taken over by Justin Sun, it has slowly lost its position from being a Tier 1 exchange to become more of a Tier 2+ exchange and while it’s a bummer, personally it’s good riddance. The downside is that some swap providers use HTX as their liquidity provider and MEXC is now their main venue to trade FIRO.
On the other hand, we are observing large buys (like 100k FIRO buys) on Wizardswap and even large walls on MEXC of people acquiring FIRO.

Unpleasant delisting not a fan of htx but sucks either way. The future is decentralized XMR has paved the way.
