Just tested the latest release, regarding the:
Tor Connectivity Fix
Resolved an issue where Firo Core (Qt) ignores
onlynet=onionoption. Users who operate their nodes exclusively over Tor should update.
I am not seeing any change from the previous version, still a bunch of IPv4 peers.
I put onlynet=onion into firo.conf as well as trying to run with ./firo-qt -onlynet=onion
Happy to provide any additional info or do some tests.
One more semi-related question: Are the .onion peers being exchanged across nodes? I would expect to see some more onion peers on my nodes, but only the ones I added manually via addnode add are there…
Edit: just a suggestion going forward, I would imagine it would be best if a QT user has all the options available in the GUI, and a daemon user uses the firo.conf. Right now its really not clear which setting does what. Still curious what exactly the checkbox “Anonymus communication with Tor” on the main screen of qt actually does…
