I have question. How is it with proposals which are entered in fiat. Would it be recalculated to Firo at time of payout?

For example in this proposal price is written as $1.45 but realm exchange right now is $1.6 which makes almost $300 difference

Yes, I also advocate for offering the fund in USD and sending Firo at the current rate. The coinās exchange rate is volatile, and we already had a bitter experience with funding the core team, when the coins werenāt sold immediately after receipt, resulting in conversion days later at an unfavorable rate

Ah yes, I believe this has been discussed before
Due to how the pay out that has been made so far is by monthly release over 3 months to not strain the CFCās budget. So previously there was a 10% buffer. If there was a drop in price he take the loss. The time the 1st month payment is being made compared to the 3rd month would differ quite a lot.
Looking at how the price of Firo improved currently. I proposed once the proposal is fully funded, we can release the full payment instead of monthly release. That way it would be easier now.
How does the committee think about this?

Why do we need some kind of buffer where someone could suffer losses if we can immediately fix the offer price in USD and pay Firo at the current rate? And then it doesnāt matter how long the offer lasts, whether itās a month or three

Weāre happy to propose extending our partnership with Firo for another three months, starting November 1st, 2025. The support from the core team and community means a lot, and weāre excited to keep contributing to Firoās visual identity with fresh and engaging design work.
Weāre keeping things straightforward and continuing without a volatility buffer. Our hourly rate remains at $65, and weāll continue dedicating 15 hours per month, totaling $975 monthly.
With the current Firo price at $1.45, that comes out to approximately 673 Firo per month.
Looking forward to another great round of collaboration.

Aye for me. Happy to think about this more for future payments since the price of Firo can be volatile. Based on following the channel for the past year or so, it seems like he has been hurt on the volatility to the downside. It is nice that he might benefit from some volatility to the upside here.
