Man I really wish I could attend this. Hopefully there will be more meetups in the future in USA in other places. We need more groups and meetups like this to educate, organize, and raise awareness to privacy.

We held the event Day 1 of Consensus 2026 at Bay 13 Brewery in Miami.
We had 5 different speakers discuss a variety of different topics including financial privacy, flock camera systems, network privacy, PQ threats, privacy regulations and its dangers, and full stack privacy systems.

The goal for this event was to bring the topic of privacy to a major crypto conference that had almost 0 representation on the topic. We host these pop-up events around the US to bring relevant content to the public while educating and informing them about different projects, teams, and technical developments.
The post quantum presentation specifically spoke about Firo’s post-quantum roadmap and what privacy projects including Firo are considering.
There was interest from the audience in Firo, many of the audience had not heard of Firo so we spent some time explaining, comparing, and discussing tradeoffs to other privacy cryptocurrencies.
We also demo’d Anonbazaar(.)com , showing market use-cases for Firo to the audience. The venue was very hospitable, and the speakers and audience were engaged.
